Curled Up
One dog differs from the other in lots of ways. There are two common sleep positions seen in pet dogs. We usually see pet dogs curled up when the air is cool or when it takes a snooze out on the porch sometimes on the floor at the back seat in the car.
A pet dog curls up to sleep for protection against the cold and assures it of its safety. The curled up position is not a sign of paranoia but a defined instinct of dogs. Not all pet dogs sleep primed and tense as curled up sleepers, yet this sleep position must not be mistaken with tendencies for aggressiveness. Pet dogs that like curling up feel more secure cuddling itself or next to a pet owner or another household pet.
Experts say sleeping in a curled up position makes pet dogs' rest poor in quality. Observations on a pet's curling up show significant tension on the muscles to maintain the curled up state. Continuous tension on its muscles affect sleep quality since sleep is defined as the time for cell regeneration. Proper and a relaxed state when asleep promotes good blood circulation needed for cell regeneration.
Purchasing a dog bed will aid your pet to be relaxed and secure. When they get used to their private space and soft surfaced spread, your pet will loosen up. A curled up pet is more tightly strung when lying on a hard surface. When a pet dog curls up on a soft surface, its relaxation is guaranteed at REM state.
Bolster beds, cup beds and hidey hole beds are recommended for pet dogs that curl. These beds have protective bolster walls of firm foam and a fluffy center pillow that will make your curled up pet sleep in a more relaxed way.
